Day 01
Kandy
After arriving in Colombo, continue your journey throughout Sri Lanka with your own driver and tour guide. You might be escorted to Kandy, the hilltop capital of Sri Lanka's former kingdom. If you are visiting Kandy, stop to see the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, which cares for sick or abandoned elephants. There are sometimes glimpses of elephants bathing in the river. Travel to Kandy and stop at an organic herbal plant used for Ayurvedic reasons like treatments and massage.
Day 02
Kandy
Visit the important religious and cultural site the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic also known as ‘Sri Dalada Maligawa’ to start your day. Take a city tour to see the gorgeous local craftsmanship at the Gem Museum and stroll through Kandy’s quaint streets. Enjoy a captivating display of traditional Sri Lankan performing arts with a lively Kandyan dance show in the evening.
Day 03
Nuwara Eliya
Proceed from Kandy towards Nuwara Eliya which is sometimes called ‘Little England’ in Sri Lanka due to its stunning tea plantations and surroundings. Stop at a tea plantation en route to sample freshly brewed Ceylon tea and see the tea-making process in action. To continue your adventure hike up Ambuluwawa Peak which provides expansive views of the surrounding area. Rest in the colonial charm and refreshing weather of Nuwara Eliya after arriving in preparation for more exploration the following day.
Day 04
Ella
Visit Horton Plains National Park first thing in the morning. It's well-known for its breathtaking scenery, abundant wildlife and the steep drop at World's End. Travel to Ella, a quaint hill country town after spending time in the park. Savour the breathtaking views and the picturesque ride along the way. Ready to explore more the following day, arrive in Ella for an overnight stay.
Day 05
Yala
As you head towards Yala make a stop to see the stunning Ravana Waterfall. Proceed to Yala National Park and embark on an exhilarating nighttime Jeep safari to witness an array of fauna in their untainted surroundings. Have fun while visiting Yala for the night.
Day 06
Hikkaduwa
Visit the Sea Turtle Hatchery Project to learn about conservation efforts and see newborn turtles released into the water. Explore the Galle Dutch Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site with colonial history and beautiful architecture. Stroll along its cobblestone streets, explore museums, and enjoy the beautiful views of the seaside.
Day 07, 08
Hikkaduwa
Spend the last two days relaxing on Hikkaduwa's adorable seashores and enjoying activities. You may also discover the shiny underwater life by way of taking part in exhilarating sports along with diving and snorkelling. Take a calming boat cruise along the Madu River and go to the Moonstone Mine to find out about gem mining. Relax and revel in the coastal splendour during your stay.
